Saffron is the driving force behind the ultimate outdoor cooking recipe website Bush Cooking which hosts recipes from over 50 outdoor cooks including smoking, grilling, Dutch oven, and campfires.

Saffron is also a semi-retired outdoor competition cook having achieved top 10 category finishes at the World Dutch Oven Championships, the Jack Daniels Invitational Barbecue Championship, and the World Food Championships. As well as grand championed events including KCBS, American Chuck Wagon Association, and the Australasian Barbecue Alliance in Australia.

Always looking for a new experience she has entered a variety of extra-category competitions earning first-place trophies in a variety of cooking styles including desserts, pies, lamb, and bread.
